Postdoctoral Positions in Marine Neurogenomics and Climate Change

UC San Diego

San Diego, CA

Posted 12/20/2024

Postdoctoral research positions are available in the Lyons and Hamdoun labs located at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego to develop transgenic and functional genomics tools to study the nervous system of marine invertebrates.  The successful candidates would carry out work as a member of the newly formed Allen Discovery Center for Neurobiology in Changing Environments (ADC-NiCE).  This pioneering, transdisciplinary center investigates the impacts of climate change on the neurobiology of marine organisms, and how marine animals' nervous systems are affected by climate change-related stressors. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work with one or possibly both of the labs, applying their expertise to unravel the complexities of marine neurobiology.  Applications are considered on a rolling basis until filled.
