The Geosciences Department at Princeton University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the area of evolutionary developmental biology to work with Professor Chris Griffin. The Griffin lab is broadly interested in the influence of development on the evolution of vertebrate form. The postdoctoral work will fit within this research focus, but the postdoctoral associate will have the freedom to develop their research in an independent direction. Please visit https://www.griffinlabpaleo.com for more information on the lab.

The ideal candidate will have a background in vertebrate embryology or developmental biology, but candidates with experience in related fields will be given full consideration. A Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology, Developmental Biology, Geosciences, or a related field is required. Postdoctoral appointments are initially for one year with renewal for at least one subsequent year based on satisfactory performance, but potentially further years depending on continued funding. A competitive salary, as well as benefits, are offered commensurate with experience and qualifications, and postdoctoral researchers at Princeton are unionized through the United Auto Workers. The associate will ideally start Summer 2025—our new lab space in Princeton’s Environmental Science neighborhood will be opening in Spring 2025, providing an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping a cutting-edge research space in a dynamic new environment.

Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter, vitae, a publication list, a statement of research experience and interests, and names of at least 3 references. Applicants should apply online to https://puwebp.princeton.edu/AcadHire/position/34961. Review of applications will begin as soon as they are received and continue until the position is filled.
