Postdoc Position: Enhancer chromatin regulation in facial development and neural crest stem cell biology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Posted 9/10/2021

The Shpargel Laboratory in the University of North Carolina Genetics Department is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to lead a R01 funded project studying the impact of enhancer chromatin activation factors on facial development and neural crest stem cell biology. We utilize a variety of mouse genetic and cell culture models in combination with the latest genomic editing and sequencing methodologies to understand the cellular and molecular functions of histone modifying enzymes at the genome level with respect to human disorders. Current projects are examining the roles of these enzymes in balancing stem cell maintenance with osteoblast and chondrocyte differentiation.
