Posted 2/9/2021

The Hadjantonakis lab at the Sloan Kettering Institute is seeking to recruit a Research Technician.

We use high-resolution quantitative approaches to investigate mechanisms underlying cell fate specification, cellular differentiation, tissue organization and growth in mouse embryos and organoid models.

This Research Technician will be supervised by the lab’s Senior Research Scientist and work closely with the Senior Research Technician to oversee the daily running of the lab, including equipment maintenance, placing orders and organizing exports/imports of reagents. They will be expected to maintain the lab’s communal mouse colony, determine genotypes using molecular assays, assist in the analysis of mutant phenotypes, and participate in the generation, screening and breeding of genetically modified mouse lines.

Necessary technical skills: basic molecular biology, ability to handle mice, and preferably some familiarity with histological techniques. Experience in performing immunofluorescence and confocal imaging are desirable, but not required. Applicants should be highly motivated, possess excellent organizational skills and able to work in a diverse team.
