The Department of Biology at Providence College in Providence, RI invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2025. We seek outstanding candidates who hold a Ph.D. (post-doctoral experience preferred) in Developmental Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology or a closely related field. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active, extramurally funded research program with outstanding scholarship and to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students. The successful candidate should be able to teach Developmental Biology, Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics, and courses in their specialty area, as well as propose a research program that complements but does not overlap with the scientific interests/model systems of the current faculty. The department has outstanding teaching and research facilities including a vivarium, a microscopy suite, cell culture room, common use molecular equipment, and dedicated wet labs for faculty research.
