The School of Biological Sciences at the University of Utah invites applications for tenure-track or tenured positions at the levels of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in quantitative biology. Successful applicants will develop or apply innovative modeling or data science approaches to answer fundamental questions about biological organization and function in the areas of biochemistry, cell biology, neuroscience, development and/or genetics and genomics. Applicants with purely theoretical or computational research programs and those combining quantitative biology approaches with experimental research programs are encouraged to apply. Competitive applicants will demonstrate an ability to develop an independent, vigorous and externally funded research program and contribute to the School of Biological Sciences’ interdisciplinary teaching mission. We expect to make two faculty appointments in the 2024-2025 academic year (anticipated start date of August 1, 2025).
