2002 SDB Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting

DIRECTIONS:

The headquarters of the Carnegie Institution of Washington are located at 1530 P Street, Northwest (corner of 16th and P Streets - entrance on P Street) in downtown Washington, DC. They are within easy walking distance (about 3 blocks) from the Metro station at Dupont Circle (red line). Since street parking in this area is very difficult to find, participants are encouraged to arrive by foot from the Metro station or by taxi.

There are two exits from the Dupont Circle Metro station. Take the "Dupont Circle" exit and NOT the "Q Street" exit. Follow the Circle counter-clockwise and turn right on P Street. Go due east three blocks. The Carnegie Institution is immediately across Sixteenth Street, on the right. The entrance to the Carnegie Building is on P Street between 15th & 16th streets. (Do not use the stairs on 16th Street.)

PARKING

Participants, especially local ones, are discouraged from driving. However, some parking spaces will be available on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday at a nearby parking garage, Colonial Parking, located at 1616 P Street NW on P Street between 16th & 17th Streets. It is necessary to know how many parking spaces will be required. Send a message to Marnie Halpern if you want to use this parking.
