Research Assistant in Developmental Cell Biology of Sea Anemone Embryos, Amherst College, MA

Amherst College invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant (level RI-1). The College sits in the scenic Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts and is part of the Five Colleges (including UMass, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College). The RA will investigate the process of tissue organization during sea anemone embryonic development at the Ragkousi lab (for publications of the research visit here). The research project(s) will involve molecular genetics, protein biochemistry, embryology and cell biology techniques. The RA will contribute to all aspects of research activities, including training and mentoring students, animal maintenance and husbandry as well as lab management on a limited basis.
