Postdoctoral position in lipid metabolism and developmental biology, Francis Laboratory, Sanford Research

The laboratory of Dr. Kevin Francis at Sanford Research is accepting applications for a postdoctoral position which will be available beginning August 2021. The applicant's projects will define the cellular and functional consequences of lipid metabolism on stem cell fate and function, with an emphasis on disease models of lipid metabolism. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to utilize a wide range of experimental approaches, including human iPSC models, single cell RNA sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, transgenic mouse models, and live-cell imaging studies to answer novel questions regarding the role of specific lipid species on development. Candidates with expertise in human iPSCs, genome editing, and/or cell biology are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience with in vivo rodent models or neurobiology is also desirable.

Requirements:  PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree in a health or life science field with a history of publications and relevant research experience. Candidates must have received their terminal degree no more than one year prior to their start date.
