The Department of Biological Sciences at Duquesne University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor. Successful candidates will join a group of faculty with expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, physiology, microbiology, evolutionary and ecological genetics, and neuroscience. Duquesne University enrolls approximately 10,000 graduate and undergraduate students and is located in downtown Pittsburgh.
The successful applicant will develop a vigorous, externally-funded, independent research program within the broad areas of developmental biology, organismal biology, or cell/molecular biology, and will be expected to contribute to teaching in one of our undergraduate concentrations (Evolutionary and Organismal Biology, Physiology, or Molecular Biology), and will develop a graduate course in their area of expertise. Applicants are expected to mentor PhD and undergraduate students in their laboratory. Competitive salary and start-up packages are available.
Applicants must possess a PhD and have post-doctoral experience.
