A postdoctoral position is available in the Cell Biology and Physiology Center (Rosa Puertollano, PI) at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health. The successful candidate would join a multi-disciplinary and highly interactive team of researchers with diverse backgrounds and expertise in a collaborative scientific environment. Our laboratory is interested in understanding the contribution of lysosomes to different physiological processes, both in normal and pathological conditions. We use a wide range of cell biology techniques (molecular biology, protein biochemistry, confocal microscopy) as well as in vivo animal models (mouse and zebrafish). The laboratory has recently generated several zebrafish mutant lines carrying mutations in genes associated with lysosomal diseases and regulation. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for planning, initiating and conducting experiments with zebrafish to further characterize these lines. Prior experience in zebrafish biology, gene editing, and familiarity with high-throughput chemical screening assays is preferred.

Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, a brief statement of research interests, and the names and contact information of three references to:
