The National Institutes of Health Office of the Director (NIH) and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) will be holding a hybrid workshop on imaging, spatial molecular technologies, and machine learning titled “Contextualizing Cellular Physiology.” This workshop seeks to provide a forum for in-depth discussions on imaging, spatial mapping and analysis methods, examining strengths, limitations, and their applicability in the practical realm of identifying tissue function or dysfunction. The workshop is structured to promote the cross-pollination of ideas from computational and optical scientists, biologists, pathologists, disease domain experts, and machine learning experts, focusing on developing practical knowledge for the community.
