3rd Fibroblast Growth Factors in Development and Repair Conference

February 15, 2019 - February 18, 2019
Nassau, Bahamas

Organizers: Sabine Werner (ETH Zurich) and Bradley Olwin (University of Colorado)

This conference aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines with an interest in FGF biology/biochemistry and clinical applications. The meeting will provide a unique opportunity for researchers to meet each other, to discuss their project and to initiate new and in some cases highly interdisciplinary research projects and collaborations.

Key Sessions will cover the following aspects:

  • FGF signalling in normal and impaired development
  • Role of FGFs in stem cell biology
  • Interaction of FGF signalling with other signalling pathways
  • Role of endogenous and efficacy of exogenous FGFs in tissue repair and regeneration
  • Role of altered FGF signalling in human diseases, ranging from rare developmental disorders to major diseases such as metabolic syndrome and cancer
  • Role of FGFs and FGFRs as therapeutic targets
  • FGFs as endocrine hormone
