The laboratory of Dr. Anne Moon in the Department of Molecular and Functional Genomics, Weis Center for Research, Geisinger Clinic is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. The research interests of our laboratory are to understand the functions of Fibroblast Growth Factors and Tbox proteins in development and disease.

Suitable candidates will be self-motivated, technically skilled, and interested in leading a project discovering the complex signaling networks that regulate aspects of cardiac and limb development relevant to human birth defects. This position offers the opportunity to participate in a dynamic research environment and employ state-of-the-art approaches to fundamental questions in developmental and molecular biology.

This training position provides opportunity for growth and development as an independent investigator. The trainee will conduct a specific research project under the supervision of the Staff or Senior Scientist and provide intellectual and technical resources to the research program.  The position will be directly accountable to the Staff/Senior Scientist.

Education and/or experience:

  • Ph.D. in biological, life or related sciences or M.D required.
  • Experience in developmental biology, use of animal models, molecular genetics, and molecular biology.
