A postdoctoral position is available in the Childs lab at the University of Calgary (ucalgary.ca/childs) to study brain vessel stabilization in the context of development and aging. Techniques involve genetics, embryonic morphological analysis and imaging. Candidates with experience in computational approaches including RNAseq or fluid flow are especially encouraged to apply. Funding for this position is in place, but the candidate will be encouraged to apply for external fellowships if they are available.  We have a strong preference for candidates within their first 3 years after PhD.

We are surrounded by a group of engaged model organism researchers, providing a rich training environment. Calgary is a short drive from the Rocky Mountains, providing endless recreational opportunitites.

Please contact Dr. Sarah Childs at schilds@ucalgary.ca to apply. A CV, letter of interest and names of 3 references are required.
