Public Lecture
featuring Martin Chalfie,
Mary Dickinson, Alexandra Joyner
and
Eric Wieschaus

“Glowing embryos, genes and development”

October 22, 6-8pm, Carnegie Institution for Science Auditorium

This session, open to the public, will highlight seminal discoveries made by developmental biologists, including Nobel laureates Chalfie and Wieschaus, and their contributions to our understanding of basic biological principles occurring in all organisms.  These studies provide insights that allow scientists to understand and ultimately devise treatments for diseases of development, such as birth defects and cancer.

The event is co-sponsored by the Carnegie Institution for Science (www.ciw.edu).
